Haugsdorf

Haugsdorf was first official mentioned in 1108 and earned its market rights in 1357. and it got its market rights in 1357. Worth mentioning is, for instance, the eco-trail on the Hutberg mountain, along which decoratively illustrated charts inform you about the age-long development of viticulture and the work in the vineyards in the course of the year.
The local focus is on the Freeport International Outlet [1] with its 48 popular outlet stores.
But Haugsdorf is also well-known for its outstanding wines, the red wines being especially worth noting. The vineyards of the community have an acreage of roughly 547 hectares, of which about 30 % are white and 70 % are red wine grapes.
